Automatic license-plate gate access

Plate access for the gate you have — however wide or awkward.

Most readers need a narrow lane and a head-on plate. GateGuardX reads across many frames, so it clears vehicles at wide industrial gates and hard approach angles, in under a second. And we run it for you — installed, monitored, and supported, so you don't need an IT team of your own.

GateGuardX · 01, Product

Reads the plate. Opens your gate. Logs everything.

GateGuardX specializes in the hard part — reading the plate reliably. A vehicle approaches, and its plate is read and authorized in under a second, so the gate is already opening as the vehicle arrives. With a barrier arm, it doesn't stop at all. No cards, no remotes, no app. Every crossing is logged with a plate snapshot, full vehicle image, and a short video clip — the record a guard used to keep, now kept automatically. It runs on-site, so the gate keeps working even if your internet drops. And one team runs it for you — hardware, software, and support — so you get a working system, not a project to manage.

Why GateGuardX

Built, not bundled.

Most systems are assembled — a camera vendor here, a cloud login there, a dealer to wire it all together. We build the whole thing ourselves: the AI that runs at your gate, the install onto the gate you already have, and the team that keeps it running.

A powerful AI at the gate

Each gate runs an on-site NVIDIA Jetson — real AI compute, not just a camera. That's what reads the dirty, bent, and off-angle plates single-shot cameras miss, and what lets us build custom checks and rules for how your site actually works.

Installed for you, on the gate you have

We retrofit it onto the gate you already own — 90+ brands, no rebuild, fully reversible. You don't need an IT team or an integrator.

We run it — not just sell it

Buy a camera and you get a box to operate yourself. We monitor your gate around the clock and push updates remotely — the team that built it supports you, and can often spot an issue before it reaches you. The relationship doesn't end at the sale.

One gate, one intelligence

Knows your regulars. Logs the rest.

A guard recognizes the regulars and waves them through, then sizes up the ones they don't know. GateGuardX opens automatically for known plates today; handling the unknowns with a conversation is in beta.

RecognizeLive

It opens for the plates on your list.

An authorized plate? The gate opens in under a second — the same rule every time — proven across 1.3M+ openings, and it runs at the gate even with no internet. It never opens on a guess.

How it reads any plate
TalkBeta

It handles the “not on the list” case.

When a plate isn't recognized and Conversational AI is enabled (beta), it can talk to the visitor, check the reason for entry, apply your rules, and approve, deny, or escalate. Every exchange is logged.

How the AI agent works

Known vehicles open automatically. Unknown visitors are logged — and, where Conversational AI is enabled (beta), screened and escalated.

More than a plate reader

An intelligent gate, not just a sensor.

Every GateGuardX runs on an on-site NVIDIA Jetson — an AI computer at the gate, not just a camera. Today it clears plates in under a second. The same brain can do more for operations that need it.

Remembers what it's seen

Can flag whether a vehicle has been here before, and when it last came through — beyond a yes/no list check.

Reads type & context

Can read vehicle class and the scene at the gate, so your rules fit what's actually arriving — a tanker, a delivery van, an unknown car at 2am.

Built around your operation

For sites that need more than open-or-closed, we build custom checks and processes on the gate with you.

Standard today: instant plate access, every crossing logged. Available on request & custom-built:vehicle recall, type & context, conversational AI (beta), and processes we build with you — not standard out of the box; we enable or build them with you when you need them.

Why it works

Reads the plates single-shot cameras miss.

Most LPR systems take one photo and hope it's enough. Ours doesn't. Continuous License Plate Scanning (CLPS) captures dozens of frames per pass, then keeps the clearest one, so it can read dirty, bent, and fast-moving plates in dust, rain, glare, headlights, and low light — the conditions that defeat single-shot cameras. In our production deployments that holds a 99.9% read rate across every U.S. state's plate designs, and it reads Latin-alphabet plates internationally.

Because CLPS reads while the vehicle is still moving, most drivers never have to stop. It also handles wide gates with traffic moving both ways, not just narrow single-lane entries.

What gets installed

Three small parts. Your gate stays put.

The whole kit bolts onto the gate you already have, no digging, no rewiring, no structural work. Modular and fully reversible: cancel within 30 days and we remove it without a trace.

Gate camera — Reads plates clearly day or night — in rain, snow, dust, and low light. Most sites need just one camera.

Smart controller — Tells your gate when to open, using the same wiring your remotes already plug into.

You provide a powered gate, power, and internet — Ethernet, Wi-Fi, 4G/LTE, or Starlink for remote sites — we provide everything else, configured for your site before it ships. No recurring hardware costs.

Live log

Every crossing, every site. One screen.

A live log of every vehicle across all your gates, newest first: plate, direction, site, and the gate's decision.

From your phone

Clear a visitor from anywhere, right from your pocket.

Type the plate, set how long, tap Create. The gate opens for that vehicle the moment it arrives, no booth, no call, no code to share.

Built to connect

Your systems, in step with the gate.

A REST API and signed webhooks keep authorized vehicles, guest passes, and photo-verified crossing events flowing between GateGuardX and the software you already run — no double entry, nothing to babysit.

GateGuardX · 02, Conversational AI Beta

When the plate isn't on the list, the AI can run the conversation (beta).

When a plate is not on the list, Conversational AI (in beta) can greet the visitor, check your rules, and then approve, deny, or escalate. Anything it cannot verify stays shut and is logged.

Who's behind it

A small, senior team, in production since 2023.

GateGuardX started in 2023 as a custom build for an oilfield logistics operator in Midland, Texas — that gate still runs 24/7 today. Hardware, computer vision, platform, and support all live in one team. We deploy it, monitor it, and keep it running, so when you call, you reach the people who built it, not a reseller. We deploy internationally, with live sites in five countries — the US, UK, and Serbia among them — and a new one underway in Trinidad & Tobago. Wherever you operate, you contract with Metered LLC in the US; engineering is Machine Can See in Novi Sad.

Trust

Built for sites where compliance isn't optional.

Every image, log, and plate is encrypted, in transit and at rest, and data stays on-site by default. Controls are aligned to SOC 2, NIST SP 800-171, and ISO 27001; a DPA is available, and AWS GovCloud / Azure Government hosting is offered on request. Each person gets only the access they need, every view of a sensitive record is logged, and you control how long data is kept (CCPA- and GDPR-ready). For procurement, the full security package and a DPA are available under NDA.

Questions, answered

The quick answers before you reach out.

Will it work on my existing gate?
Yes — if your gate opens by motor and a remote or button, GateGuardX can open it (90+ gate and barrier brands). Send two photos and we'll confirm your gate within 48 hours. It installs on the gate you already have, no rebuild.
Do I have to replace any hardware?
No. The camera, the small on-site computer, and the controller all bolt onto the gate and motor you already have, no digging, no rebuilding, and fully reversible.
How long does installation take?
Under a day per gate once the kit is on site, typically 2–3 hours residential, about half a day industrial.
What does it cost?
A one-time hardware kit plus a monthly platform fee. Residential gate automation starts at $3,500 for the hardware (yours to own) plus $299/mo for the software and service on a 24-month agreement; logistics and multi-site are quoted per site, sized to your gates and lanes. Send a few photos and we'll come back with an exact quote, usually within 48 hours.
Does it keep working if the internet drops?
Yes. Plate reading, authorizing, and opening the gate all run at the gate itself, so gates keep opening from the saved list of approved vehicles even with no internet. The dashboard and full record sync once the connection is back.
