What Kind of Gates and Arm Barriers Does GateGuardX Work With?

GateGuardX is designed for electrically powered gates and barriers only β€” we do not support manual gates.

We work with the most common gate types used at factories, warehouses, and residential communities, including:

Gate TypeCommon Use Case Description
Sliding GateCommercial/Industrial yards,
logistics sites
Runs on a track;
common in commercial setups
Swing GateResidential entrancesOpens inward/outward like a door
Barrier ArmGated communities, parking lotsFast open/close;
ideal for high-frequency use

πŸ’‘ As long as your gate has an electric motor and a dry contact input, we can control it.

To enable license-plate recognition and automated access, GateGuardX hardware kit is required. If you already have an electric gate motor and compatible control board, you don’t need to replace the gateβ€”GateGuardX can typically retrofit your existing installation.

βœ… We assist with setup / support, provide warranty on hardware, etc.

⚠️ Important: GateGuardX does not build or install physical gates or barrier arms. Our focus is on providing the hardware and software that enable your gate to open via license-plate recognition. The gate frame, motor, and barrier (if applicable) must be supplied and installed separately.

βœ… We do organize and install the GateGuardX hardware β€” cameras, controller, and processing unit β€” that integrates with your gate and makes it fully automatic.

3. Subscription / Software Fee (Monthly, Based on Vehicle Count & Usage)

GateGuardX charges a monthly software subscription fee.
This covers: the cloud management dashboard, authorized-vehicle list, software updates, optional cloud storage, support, etc.

The amount depends on:
β€’ Number of vehicles (or plates) you register / process per month
β€’ Number of entrances / cameras in your system
β€’ Additional features (e.g. guest approvals, AI/human oversight, etc.)

We don’t list a β€œone-size-fits-all” price here because different installations have different usage patterns. Contact us for a subscription quote tailored to your needs.

πŸ’‘ Monthly software subscription starts at just $99/month for residential use (up to 50 vehicles). Most commercial sites pay $150-$300/month. We'll provide your exact pricing during our free consultation.
