GateGuardX on Eagle gates.

The short answer: if your Eagle gate has a motor and opens on a signal, the way a keypad or remote does, and nearly all do, GateGuardX works with it. No rebuild, no replacement, installed in about half a day.

About Eagle

Eagle Access Control Systems is a gate automation manufacturer based in Sylmar, California, that has been in operation since 1998 according to the company's own materials. It designs and assembles slide, swing, and overhead gate operators along with access control accessories for residential and commercial properties. Its operators, such as the Eagle 2000 slide series with the company's Diamond Control Board, are sold through gate hardware dealers in the United States.

(In the gate trade, an “operator” is simply the motor that opens the gate.)

Eagle makes sliding, swing and overhead gates, and the same simple rule covers them all.

Common Eagle models include Eagle 2000, Eagle 1000, Eagle 200, Eagle I. Whether it works is determined by what's on the control board, not the model name, so send two photos and we confirm yours specifically.

How the integration works

It triggers your gate motor, it doesn't replace it.

  • We wire to the same terminals your remotes use, often inside the motor housing.
  • Your keypad, intercom, and remotes keep working as fallbacks.
  • Your gate's own safety features (photo-eyes, safety edges, auto-reverse, to the UL 325 standard) stay fully in charge of the moving gate. We never bypass a safety device.
  • No digging, no reconstruction, fully reversible.

Eagle compatibility FAQ

Is Eagle a supported brand?

Yes, Eagle gates follow the same simple rule we check on every install: if the gate has a motor and opens on a signal, GateGuardX works with it. We confirm yours from two photos, within 48 hours.

Do I need to replace my Eagle gate or gate motor?

No. GateGuardX installs on the gate you already have, a small controller tells your existing gate motor to open, exactly like a keypad or remote does.

What if I can't find a dry-contact input?

Most control boards have one, often labeled for a keypad, intercom, or remote. If yours doesn't, a small relay add-on provides it. Send a photo of the board and we'll point to the exact terminals.

Will it conflict with my keypad, intercom, or remotes?

No, GateGuardX adds a trigger alongside what you already have. Keep your keypad, intercom, and remotes as fallbacks; the plate reader simply becomes the primary way in.
