Sand Revolution was GateGuardX's first deployment, the system has run at their Midland yards since 2023, through dust, glare, and round-the-clock truck traffic. They run it at two entrances today.

The challenge: the site relied on guards to manually log every vehicle, sharing photos over WhatsApp. Keeping one gate staffed around the clock is 8,760 coverage hours a year. Logging was inconsistent, plates were damaged and bent by harsh conditions, and the bi-directional unpaved passage made manual checks slow.

GateGuardX replaced the booth. Trucks with authorized plates drive straight through; our plate-reading (CLPS) handles even dirty and bent plates, and every crossing is logged with photo proof. The gate keeps working through internet outages, using the last saved list of approved vehicles.

The result: the 24/7 guard post is gone, with zero unauthorized entries in almost three years of the system's photo-verified event logs. Fewer delays, less driver idle time, and a complete record of every entry and exit.

What that post is worth, our math, stated openly: 8,760 coverage hours a year at a typical US contract-guard rate of ~$25/hour is about $18,000 a month, or $216,000 a year, per 24/7-staffed gate. That's our estimate of the staffing the system replaced, calculated at standard market rates, not a customer-reported figure.
